Abstract
Objective To study the effect of three internal fixation devices(common plate, minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis and inter- locking intramedullary nail) for treating fracture of tibia. Methods All patients were divided into three groups randomly. 90 patients were treated with common plate;31 patients were treated with interlocking intramedullary nail; 35 patients were treated with minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis. After the three internal fixation devices were used in the fracture of tibia. Results All the patients were followed from 1 to 3 years. The union times were 5. 2 months, 3. 7 months and 3. 6 months respectively. The rate of postoperative depth were 7. 8% ,3. 2% and 0% respectively. The rate of the internal fixation failure were 18. 9% , 3. 2 % and 0% respectively. The rate of excellent and good functin of knee and ankle joints were 94. 4% , 100% and 100% in the samples. Conclusion The result showed that the long-term effect of minimally invasive plate osteoynthesis and interlocking intramedullary nail were more satisfactory than that of common plate for treating fracture of tibia.
