New podcast episodes are delivered by experts in the field, are released on a weekly basis, and summarize the latest news in sports medicine research for that week. This site is a bountiful resource for medical students, residents, fellows, and attendings interested in or involved in sports medicine. The site organizes an extensive amount of resources ranging from textbooks, web site, adaptive equipment, and more. The imaging modalities are scrollable and include an impressive and customizable labeling feature, allowing you to filter specifically to the types of structures you want to see. This makes it very easy for anyone from a medical student to an attending level improve their ability to read and interpret medical imaging, and should be considered an essential tool for medical education in 2020. Some modules are free; however, a substantial portion is available at the premium level with a subscription. Cost: (monthly, US $12.99; annually, US $89.99) Human Anatomy Atlas 2021 Available on the iOS and Android app stores Description: This is an alternative to the popular Essential Anatomy app from 3d4medical. From developers Visible Body, the Human Anatomy Atlas app boasts of more than 10,000 anatomical models with descriptions in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and simplified Chinese. It was one of the app store's “Best Apps” of 2017, and winner of multiple awards including the Association of Medical Illustrator Award of Excellence, the Digital Health Awards' Gold for Mobile Applications, and the W3 Awards' Gold for Mobile Education. The developers claim it is the most complete human anatomy atlas available, and base purchases include complete male and female gross anatomy models that can be assembled using any combination of the major organ systems including muscle, skeleton, neurological, vascular, and so on. Additional features include short video loops of common muscle actions, videos delivered by experts in the field on basic pathology, and a relatively new augmented reality feature. It is an impressive app, and one that may be considered standard in modern medical education. Cost: US $24.99 with additional in-app purchases British Journal of Sports Medicine Available on the iOS and Android app stores Description: The British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) app provides instant access to its various multimedia and online digital content. The app itself houses the BJSM podcast which is published weekly and covers a breadth of sports medicine topics. The podcast itself is excellent, and the app also offers quick links to its YouTube videos, sports and exercise medicine calendar, social media accounts, and more. This is an excellent way to stay up-to-date on the academic literature of sports medicine. Cost: Free
