Abstract
Research on academic ethics is popular, but - as a result of our systematic literature review using Web of Science - the number of studies targeting Generation Z is still small. Relatively few publications address the role and responsibilities of universities in the field of academic ethics. Also, there is surprisingly little research focusing on the ethicality of young people in Europe, so our research is significant for more reasons. In our study, we surveyed Hungarian BSc students about academic ethics using a questionnaire. In their opinion, academic ethics is important, and they have the view that it is not too late to teach ethics at university, and respondents emphasize the role of the university in academic ethics. There are relatively few studies on the academic ethics of Generation Z in Central Europe, and our research fills this gap.
