Abstract
The field of forensic and criminal investigation has witnessed significant advancements over the years, aided by technology and data-driven approaches. In recent times, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a game-changer in this domain, revolutionizing the way investigations are conducted and evidence is analyzed. Human abilities including strategic thinking, speech recognition, visual awareness, cognitive reasoning, learning from experiences, and problem-solving complexity can be performed by computer programmes more quickly and with fewer errors than by people. Due to the massive amounts of facts, specific details in the hectic and intricate circumstances, conventional lab design, and occasionally insufficient data, experts encounter a number of challenges today that could result in an incomplete investigation or an infringement of justice. This paper explores the profound impact of AI in forensic and criminal investigations, highlighting its potential to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall investigative outcomes.
