Abstract
This chapter explores the significant ways artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the nature of work in the Age of AI: Navigating Employment, Automation, and Ethics. It looks at how sectors are changing as a result of AI-driven automation, which is replacing certain jobs with new ones, especially those that need repetitive work. The chapter emphasizes the necessity of reskilling and upskilling in order to adjust to these changes by looking at case studies from industries like manufacturing, healthcare, and finance. It is stressed that ethical factors, such as bias, accountability, and transparency, are essential to creating responsible AI systems. The chapter also draws parallels with previous industrial revolutions to provide historical context, underscoring the ongoing impact of technological change on labor markets. In the end, it provides a fair assessment of AI's potential and promotes laws that promote inclusivity, fairness, and continuous learning in an AI-driven world.
