Abstract
The rapid advancements in multimodal generative AI have revolutionized digital media production, enabling the creation of hyper-realistic content across text, image, video, and audio domains. However, this technological evolution raises significant ethical and legal concerns, including deepfake misinformation, copyright infringement, data privacy breaches, and algorithmic biases. This chapter explores the ethical dilemmas posed by AI-generated media, emphasizing the need for transparency, accountability, and responsible AI governance. It examines legal frameworks governing AI-generated content, including intellectual property rights, digital forensics, and emerging regulations such as the EU AI Act. The role of blockchain technology in ensuring content authenticity and traceability is also discussed as a potential solution to mitigate ethical and legal risks. By addressing these challenges, this chapter aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between AI, blockchain, ethics, and law in digital media.
