Abstract
This study analyzes the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on an individuals cognitive, thinking behavior and making decisions. While AI improves efficiency of an individual's problem-solving, it also affects human skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and decision-making. This study explores AI tools impact on productivity, learning, and mindset across different user groups including students, professionals, and entrepreneurs. A survey has been carried out in various user groups based in order to analyze people's interaction with AI and its influence on confidence, skills, and emotions. To fetch insights, Explainable AI (XAI) techniques, viz. LIME and SHAP are implemented on the survey data. SHAP analysis reveals key drivers behind AI reliance and discomfort, such as time-saving benefits, ideation support, and peer pressure. LIME is implemented to fetch localized explanations for variations in user behavior, highlighting generational differences in task achievement and emotional response to AI. Findings show that individuals aged 25-35, especially students and employees, exhibit the highest reliance on AI, with Gen Z and Millennials experiencing the most discomfort and social pressure. These insights underscore the dual impact of AI-boosting efficiency while posing risks to human. The study advocates for responsible AI adoption that complements human intelligence.
