Bibliometric Analysis of Use of ChatGPT by Students: Trends and Insights

Abstract
The use of ChatGPT among students is more, in various aspects of education. Students use ChatGPT for summarizing concepts, generating study materials, assisting with writing and editing, and practicing languages. It also helps in solving problems, creating study plans, and learning coding, making it a versatile tool for enhancing educational outcomes. The academic environment surrounding students’ use of ChatGPT is examined in this bibliometric analysis, which focusses on innovation in research, gaps identified in knowledge, and worldwide contributions between 2022 and 2024 from Scopus and web of Science. Various keywords were used to search the literature, and a total of 2996 publications on the subject published were found. The inquiry discovered that the majority of the research was conducted in the United States and China. The results shows that computers and education artificial intelligence, communications in Computer and Information Science were the most often published journals. The study showed that Denny P. and Wang, X was the most effective and productive researcher. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the co-authorship network structure was predominantly USA, South Africa. In addition, when the keywords mentioned together were mapped, it was seen that the words, ChatGPT, education, students and human were more frequently used. These findings provide valuable insights in trending research topics and latest interest topics in the area.
