Abstract
Computer power is growing in tandem with the availability of massive amounts of data prepared for processing through AI applications in the medical industry and the relative ease with which information can be accessed from anywhere in the globe. One area where artificial intelligence could soon make a big impact in dentistry diagnostics. More doctors are seeing the link between a patient's oral health and their overall wellness. An important part of this association is the existence of moderate chronic inflammation in the mouth. Using standard procedures to detect this inflammation can be difficult. The main function of the immune system in the mouth is to prevent infections in the oral cavity, which can harm the teeth, jaws, gingivae, and mucosa. The gingival crevice, saliva, and oral mucosa all constitute distinct oral microbiomes or domains, and each of these hosts' defenses is unique. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of AI applications and advances for the identification of oral diseases. This study delves at the possibilities of AI to revolutionize the early detection and treatment of oral infections and inflammations through the use of radiography.
