Abstract
Despite the increasing relevance of artificial intelligence (AI) in global business operations, its implementation in emerging economies faces significant social and organizational barriers. This study explores the key non-technological obstacles to AI adoption in the Mexican labor market, based on a cross-industry survey of 122 Mexican workers. Statistical analyses including reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), correlation analysis, and ANOVA revealed five key dimensions of AI implementation barriers. Findings indicate that successful AI implementation depends not only on technical readiness but also on the alignment of ethical frameworks, training structures, and participative organizational cultures, with significant variations across economic sectors.
