Abstract
This paper presents research on the use of artificial intelligence (AI)-based mental health applications as a strategic business model to enhance employee well-being and workplace productivity. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed, with data collected from employees working in organisations that have implemented or are considering implementing AI-based mental health solutions. The study assessed the influence of AI adoption and organisational support readiness on employee engagement and well-being, which in turn affect workplace productivity, using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Results indicate that AI implementation and organisational support readiness have a strong positive impact on employee engagement and well-being, which subsequently improves productivity. Mediation analysis confirms that employee engagement and well-being play a crucial role in linking AI-based interventions to organisational productivity outcomes. The findings position AI-driven mental health applications as strategic tools for enhancing workforce well-being and performance in digitally transforming workplaces.
