Abstract
Intelligent immersive healthcare represents an emerging paradigm that unifies artificial intelligence, federated learning, and metaverse infrastructures to create secure, adaptive, and patient-centered medical ecosystems. This chapter per the authors examines how immersive environments, combined with AI-driven analytics and decentralized learning frameworks, enable real-time clinical decision support, personalized therapeutics, collaborative training, and remote care delivery while preserving data sovereignty and privacy. The discussion synthesizes architectural models, application domains, and ethical–regulatory considerations shaping next-generation healthcare platforms, including digital twins, intelligent diagnostics, and virtual hospitals. By integrating technical foundations with healthcare use cases, the chapter elucidates how convergent intelligent and immersive technologies can enhance interoperability, resilience, and equity, supporting a scalable transformation of clinical practice and population health management.
