Abstract
Introduction: The integration of AI into the medical and psychological spheres is transforming communication between the patient and the specialist. Large language models expand the possibilities of support, screening and psychoeducation, although generating ethical challenges regarding trust, responsibility and confidentiality. Aim: to analyze the benefits and risks of the “human–AI–human” model. Methods: a theoretical analysis of latest studies. Results: it was found that AI increased the availability of information and optimized work, although increasing the risks of depersonalization and algorithmic biases. Hence, a hybrid model seems to be promising. Conclusions: AI is advisable to use as an auxiliary tool under professional supervision.
