Abstract
The study investigated the impact of perception of artificial intelligence and user experience on effective services delivery in selected academic libraries in South-West, Nigeria. Descriptive research of the survey type was adopted and the population of the study comprised of Librarians, Library Officers and other support staff in Ekiti State University, University of Ibadan, Lead City University and Federal University, Oye Ekiti. The sample for the study was Fifty (50) respondents which were randomly selected. The data collection instrument for the study was questionnaire which was used to gather data from the respondents. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics of frequency counts and percentages, mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC). The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between perception of library professionals about Artificial Intelligence and library services delivery; also, Library professional perceives AI as a tool that can enhance the quality of library services delivery. It was recommended that collaboration and sponsorship should be encouraged in order to have more AI tools being deployed in libraries as well as addressing the misconceptions and fears about AI replacing librarians among other recommendations.
