Abstract
University programs often struggle to integrate project-based learning, essential for developing professional competencies. The 2018 reforms in France, aligned with the European competence-based framework, highlight interdisciplinary projects to bridge academic training and professional demands. At the same time, generative AI is reshaping skills across sectors, requiring critical, ethical, and adaptive use. This study examines AI use in a project-based Instructional Design course, exploring tools, collaboration, and student perceptions across project phases. Findings aim to inform teaching strategies, curriculum design, and AI literacy integration in higher education.
